Not only are my grandparents not helping buy a car, but my $1,000 that my dat sent ME to purchase a car is going to my [Censor] brother. Let me explain.....last spring he brought up the idea to my mom of him moving into an apartment with his friends from college. My mom couldn't afford the rent, so she made him promise to get a job over the summer while he was in summer school, and he did end up PROMISING. Now, he applied at 7 different places evern though he has a solid job at a crappy grocery store here in town. All he really had to do was get transferred to the same chain of grocery stores in Raleigh, but he wasn't willing to put up with that, so he didn't. Now, he doesn't have a job in Raleigh, and my mom can't afford to pay for his appartment. So my mom made the decision to take the $1,000 from ME and give it to DANIEL instead. Then on top of all that, lastnight my computer got a disabling virus making it so that I lost all of the 14 hours of progress I have made on my goddamned graduation project. Isn't that just dandy? In my honest opinion, she shouldn't have the right to take money away from you that was given to you. I would understand if she was the one to give you the money, but your dad did (if I read that correctly). Dude, it looks like nobody wants to see you get a car.

And dude, I know how it feels to completely lose a project you've been working hard on, and it sucks so badly. Hopefully you get caught up to where you were son, man.

You read it correctly, my dad sent it to me. I understand that she has no right to take it, and I completely agree. The only thing is that there's no way for my brother to get out of being in an apartment and going into a dorm now because it's too late to change that, and if my mom doesn't pay rent, he's SOL finding a place to leave. So I completely understand that she needs it for him to do it. Since the 5th grade, my dad's been sending me 200 dollars for my birthday, and my mom's been taking it in order to help make ends meet cause we're kind of poor, and I understand that. The thing that pisses me off the most about this time is the fact that the 1000 isn't going to benefit the entire family in any way, it's only going to benefit one person in the family who could have done someting so that they could work their own way through rent and school. I agree 100%, Liz, but what can I do? I've done all there is in the book and he's still getting the money. Also, yes..his name is Daniel. I find it funny cause all the Daniels I know are complete douche bags

It's good that you understand the whole money situation, but it still sucks pretty badly.
